The Fear of Flying

  • There are numerous plane details, which have their substitutes installed in the aircraft. If one is being breached, the other is still working;
  • Trust the cabin crew completely. They are qualified professionals, who are ready to take care of you at the moment you step into the plain. You just need to relax and enjoy the flight;

  • During the take-off and landing try not to look through the window;
  • Close your eyes and relax while listening to your favourite music;
  • Start planning your holiday activities while you are still in board;
  • Talk to the people sitting nearby you;
  • To avoid turbulences, it is better to buy the seats at the front rows, as these ones are least affected.

PLAN YOUR ACTIVITIES ON BOARD IN ADVANCE. TAKE A BOOK, CROSSWORDS OR YOUR MP3 PLAYER IN YOUR CARRY-ON LUGGAGE.
 
  • While you are busy with doing something that is pleasant to you, the concerns about flying will be minimized;
  • If you get bored, try to sleep. And you’ll wake up on land already!

IF YOU FEEL THE POSSIBLE SYMPTOMS OF PANIC: PALMS ARE SWEETING, INCREASED HEART RATE OR BREATHING BECOMES RAPID - TRY TO RELAX.
 
  • Stretch and recline in the seat;
  • Close your eyes, imagine the pleasant environment;
  • Inhale deeply through nose. Then exhale through mouth.

Repeat this breathing exercise slowly until you will feel the release.
