Introduction
Small Planet Airlines is a European leisure carrier holding air operator’s certificate (AOC) in Lithuania, Poland, Italy and with operations set up in Great Britain. The company is part of the Lithuanian aviation business group Avia Solution Group. It currently operates a fleet of 8 aircraft (6 Boeing 737-300, and 2 Airbus 320) offering full charter programs for tour operators, aircraft wet lease (ACMI) services for airlines and ad hoc flights for private and governmental companies. Small Planet Airlines has chartered to more than 120 destinations in Europe, MENA and Asia regions, and in 2010 transported nearly 0.4m passengers.
Let us tell you what makes Small Planet Airlines a different charter airline company. In fact, it is a simple and powerful question that is rarely asked in boardrooms and aisles of the airline companies: a “Why not?” question.
We feel this is what the airline industry has missed. So we thought, why not to have a charter airline that challenges airline business conventions in a big way? That has a real business model to offer lowest prices for European quality service? That truly behaves as a partner and goes an extra mile for the passengers?
“Why?” is a bad question. “Why not?” is a great question.A question that opens airline business for change and a bit of fun. After all this world has got enough of boring airlines already.
